We had a visit from Shoogalie productions this week, they came and performed Aladdin for us in the hall.

A Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag will be given to every Primary 1 child in Scotland in November in celebration of Book Week Scotland. The P1 Bags contains the 3 shortlisted books for The Bookbug Picture Book Prize and other exciting resources for families. The Read, Write, Count programme gifts bags to all Primary 2 and Primary 3 children in Scotland. Both the P1 and the P2 bags will be coming home with your child today.
Despite the chilly weather P1/2 braved the cold and took their learning outside. We were looking at initial sounds with the primary 1’s which was made easy for the children with the f sound cards. Lots of FROSTY and FROZEN object were found around the playground. After we found our objects we ordered them by size.

It was definitely nice and cosy at Film Club yesterday compared to the temperature outside. Don’t forget to remind your children as the weather gets colder that Film Club is on every Monday lunchtime in Mr Macleod’s classroom. At the moment we are watching Toy Story 4.

We took our learning into the playground today despite the wet weather. The children spent time looking for signs of animal life and then played some games trying to find objects starting with the initial sound they had on their card.

This week in our Skills Academy we used the leaves we collected on our woodland walk before the holidays to create some brilliant woodland animal pictures. We are going to display these around the school.

Every Monday lunchtime in term 2 and 3 Mr Macleod will be holding a Film Club in his classroom for P1-3. After the children have had their lunch they are welcome to come into the classroom with a snack and watch a film. The first film that we will be watching will be Finding Nemo.
