Congratulations to Balmacaan who were this term’s house winners. They have earned points for manners, warm and welcoming greetings and using the foreign language phrases of the week. The Celebrations Committee voted today for what the reward would be and they have chosen Chromebook time. This will be awarded tomorrow.House Winners! — 2019/20 ~ News
P1/2 are looking forward to sharing their profiles and wonderful art work with you this week.
The “Teach Your Monster to Read” app is free to download until Tuesday 8th October. I cannot recommend this app enough to help your child to learn their sounds and to start to blend. The best part is as it is all game based they do not even realise that they are learning.
This week in Skills Academy we took a trip to the woods to collect some leaves to make an Autumn picture back at school.
We took part in Ness Book Fest, with all P1-6 children reading their own books after Mrs Laird read them a story that encouraged their Creativity.
This week we made a poster about creativity and presented it to the rest of the school at an assembly. P1/2 had lots of good ideas to explain to the rest of the school what being creative means to us.
P1 have been learning their new sounds, we have been playing games on the Smart Board, games in groups and using the playdoh to build things starting with the initial sound. Some of P1 have been given their first reading book today, please see the Reading Jotter when your child gets home.
